The Hub offers the following Beach Volleyball courses
LEVEL 1: BEGINNERS (Level C – B)
This course is for people who never played before or played without attending any volleyball or beach volleyball course. This course is designed to teach, or refine, basic fundamental volleyball skills: passing, setting, attacking and serving. Using more courts, if necessary, players are grouped according to their skill level. Skill mastery is accomplished through skill progressions, coach feedback and volleyball drills. Most of the exercises are just analytical. Volleyball drills are used to enhance various performance factors such as ball control, footwork, and timing on approach jumps or blocks. Players understand the importance of training with a purpose. A purpose of a drill could be to fix a problem or improve volleyball skills such as passing or hitting.
LEVEL 2: INTERMEDIATE (Level BB – A)
This course is for people who already attended a volleyball or beach volleyball course and want to correct, or improve, their technique. This course is designed to refine basic fundamental volleyball skills: passing, setting, attacking and serving, with an eye at the basic knowledge of tactic. The purpose is to increase the precision of fundamentals and the touch on the ball.
Many different exercises bring you to a higher level of knowledge and practice. Most of the exercises are synthetic with the introduction of some global exercises. At the end of this course, you have the basic knowledge of technique and tactic you need to play at an AA level.
LEVEL 3: ADVANCED (AA – AAA)
This course is for people who already play beach volleyball at a medium/high level and want to improve their technique, confidence and particularly tactic. This course is designed to set a different sight of the game, understand the opponent team and find the right tactic to win the match using all the skills and the environmental conditions. It is important to have a good physical shape, enthusiasm and a strong leaning at working (in sports terms).
LEVEL 4: TEAM TRAINING (all levels)
This course is for people at a medium to high level who want to improve their technique, confidence, tactic and feeling in the team. This course is designed to set a tactic in the team and to make you able to play with the goal of winning tournaments. It is important to have a good physical shape, enthusiasm and a strong leaning at working (in sports terms).
It is compulsory training as a team, so if you haven’t got a partner just let us know, and we will try to find you someone to play with.
Each workout will be subdivided in 15/20 minutes of warm-up, 1 hour of exercises and 15 minutes of game, to put into practice what you learnt during the lesson. Obviously, it is not supposed to be able to teach you everything about beach volleyball in a few weeks, but you can learn the whole basis. Improving means working/playing as much as possible applying what you learn in the workout.
